1. Iran visa application
- You need a scan or copy of your passport(How?).
- Please be sure to answer all the questions, there you must mention the place of visa issuance, which can be at the Iranian consulate in other countries or the international airport of entry to Iran.
- After completing the application, do not forget to submit it.
- You will see a confirmation page or receive an email containing a tracking code.
- Print the page or write down your tracking code.
- Pay your visa grant, which is 38 € (all countries except three).
- You can track your application two days after payment.
- Once your visa is approved, you will receive a visa grant notice via your email.
- Download or print it, if you choose the Iranian airport to issue a visa when you travel to Iran, it is mandatory to carry it along with other documents.
2. How to complete the application?
- Be sure to answer all the questions.
- Please answer in English using the English alphabet. That is, do not use letters such as ñ, é, ü or ç.
- After filling your application, you can submit it. Then the tracking code was emailed to you, please keep it for checking. Please make sure your email and contacts are correct.
3. How much does an Iran visa cost?
Iran electronic visa price depends on your nationality. The cost of Iran visa is 38 € for all countries and 149 € for American, English and Canadian citizens. Our Iran visa services are refundable. If the application is rejected, we will refund 20 € to all countries and 80 € to US, UK and Canadian citizens.
4. How long does Iran visa take?
- It takes about 5 to 7 working days to get the Iran visa code online. (Working days in Iran start from Saturday and end on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are the weekend days of Iran)
- If you are from one of these countries: US, UK or Canada, it will take about 1-3 months to get your visa.
- After you receive your visa code from us, depending on where you choose to issue your visa, you can issue your visa at the airport or you can collect your Iran visa from the Embassy, which again takes a few days to two weeks based on your nationality.
- If you don’t apply at the Embassy, you can get your Iran visa on arrival, it only takes a few hours at the airport, but remember:
- The price will be higher.
- If you are applying online for the first time, it is more risky.
- It may take longer.
5. How long does the Iran visa for British, American and Canadian citizens take?
The average time to apply for an Iran visa for these countries usually takes 1 to 3 months. Therefore, If you are planning to travel to Iran, we recommend you to apply for your visa early so that you can travel safely.
6. What is the duration of Iran electronic visa?
The length of stay depends on your nationality and visa type. Now, both the Iran visa issued by the Embassy and on arrival visa are valid for 45 days.
- Iran visa from the Embassy and on arrival are valid for 45 days.
- Iran visa is valid for 45 days for all residents of Georgia.
- Iran visa is valid for 90 days for residents of Turkey, Syria and Armenia.
- Iran visa is valid for 15 days for residents of Venezuela and Malaysia.
7. Where to pick up Iran visa?
After receiving your visa grant you can pick up and finalize your visa process in two places:
Pick up your visa at Iran International Airports:
This is the easiest way to get the visa and finalize it. This way is a little more expensive than the second way (about 10 to 20 €). To get your visa at Iran’s airports, you must choose your arrival airports as the place of visa issuance and print your visa reference code or have it on your mobile phone.

The second way is to get an Iranian tourist visa from the Iranian Embassies in your country. This is a safe and cheap way, but it is necessary to go to the Embassy in person and carry the required documents with you. So after a while you have to go to the Embassy again and get your passport and visa or you can ask them to send it by post.

8. Iran visa application on arrival at the airport
It is not recommended because if you do not have a visa code, your visa application may be rejected.
After arriving at the airport, you should go to one of the visa issuing offices with all your documents. You will need to complete a form which may take your time, then you will need to pay your visa fee in Euros. They only accept cash, not credit cards. You must bring your travel insurance with you.

10. Can I extend my Iran visa?
Yes, you can extend your visa at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Immigration Police in the main cities of Iran. This process usually takes about one or two working days (Working days in Iran start from Saturday and end on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are the weekend days of Iran).
Your visa extension is based on the duration time of stay on your visa, for example if you have a 45-day visa you can extend it for another 45 days or if you have a 30-day visa you can only extend it for another 30 days.
11. Do I need insurance for travel to Iran?
Yes, travel insurance is required to get Iran visa. But for citizens of countries that do not require a visa, having insurance is optional.

You can buy travel insurance at the airport, but note that there is no insurance desk in some international airports in Iran, so it is better to buy it before arrival.
13. How much coverage should I get for Iran travel insurance?
In fact, health care in Iran is not that expensive, so you may not need an expensive insurance policy. It is up to you to decide how much coverage and how much included is comfortable for you, but traveling with 10,000 € is enough for insurance coverage in Iran.

15. Does my existing travel insurance cover Iran?
Due to the US sanctions against Iran, some insurance companies are not willing to cover the expenses in Iran. You may have a worldwide travel insurance, but your insurance companies do not include Iran due to sanctions. It is better to check it before traveling to Iran.
16. Is health care system good in Iran?
In fact, the health care system in Iran depends on where you are in the country and what type of treatment center you visit. If you are in major cities like Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, you may find qualified health centers and hospitals. There are some hospitals in Iran that are licensed by the Ministry of Health to accept foreigners.
17. Is it safe to visit Iran?
Many people who have traveled to Iran consider Iran to be one of the safest places in the world to visit. According to the travel risk indexes, Iran is a country with an average risk level, like many popular tourist destinations in the Middle East. Iranian people are known for being hospitable. But since it is an Islamic country, the laws and social rules will be different there. So you should behave respectfully and considerately.
Some parts of Iran may be risky for travel, such as Iran-Afghanistan border, Iran-Iraq border and Sistan and Baluchistan province, it is better to check the safety with your travel agency in Iran before traveling to these places.
