International food and fast food are available everywhere in Iran, but Iranian food should not be missed, as it is an inevitable entertainment on a trip to Iran.
Persian Food
Most people think that Iranian food refers to kebabs, but Iranian food, which is known as home cooking in Iran today, is very diverse, although an increasing number of restaurants are expanding their Iranian food menu. We have tried to offer you some Iranian dishes here:
Kebabs
Kebab is a favorite Iranian dish that you can order alone or with fire-grilled rice, but you can also cook it in the oven, stove or deep fryer. Kebab and rice when served together are called Chalo Kebab, here you can find different types of Kebab:
Kebab Barg
Grilled lamb fillet.
Kebab Koobideh
Grilled minced lamb.
Kebab Soltani
One Kebab Brag plus one Kebab Koobideh .
Kebab Bakhtiari
Grilled Mixture of lamb and chicken.
Joojeh Kebab
Grilled Chicken.
Joojeh Kebab Ba-ostekhan
Grilled chicken with bone.
Shishlik

Vegetarian Foods
In Iran, vegetarians can order the following dishes:
Baghali ghatogh
is a liquid dish made with fava beans, dill, and eggs. It is spiced with turmeric, salt, garlic, and sometimes pepper.
Falafel
is a deep-fried ball made from ground chickpeas, broad beans
Kashk-e-Bademjan
Mix of Kashk and eggplant, Kashke (or Kashk) is liquid whey and Aubergine translates to Eggplant in Persian.
Mirzaghasemi
is an Iranian appetizer or main based on tandoori or grilled aborigine mix with garlic, egg and tomato.
Kookoo Sabzi
mix of vegetable and egg.
Koresh (Stew)
Various stews are cooked in Iran and served with rice (or Polo). They are brought to the table in separate dishes and usually eaten mixed. Here we suggest some delicious stews
Koresht-e-Bademjan
Containing Egg-plants & pieces of lamb, stew color is red.
Khoresht-e-Fesenjan
Containing cooked chicken or cooked meat, walnut and pomegranate paste, stew color is light brown
Khoresht-e-Gheimeh
Contains lamb pieces, dried lemon and fried potatoes, stew color is red.
Khoresht-e-Ghorme-Sabzi
Contains a mixture of herbs, lamb pieces, red beans and dried lemon, stew color is dark green.
Polo (Rice)
In Iran rice is always with main course. Rice usually is served in different forms:
Polo
It is plain rice, usually garnished with some saffron, which gives it a nice yellow color.
Baghali Polo
This rice is cooked with dill and lima beans. Both are served with chicken or lamb.
Zereshk Polo
Rice with sour/sweet grains (barberries) is usually served with chicken and sometimes contains pistachio and almond crunch.
